Musician Bio

Dan Silver began taking lessons in 1996, from notable jazz guitarist Jeff Ciampa. Here, Dan learned the importance of music theory, reading, and good practice techniques. At an early age, Dan became very involved in his local music scene, playing shows almost every weekend from 14 until he left for college. At SUNY Purchase, he studied songwriting and deepened his knowledge of music theory. He continued playing for various bands at school. Upon graduation, Dan formed the band Pine Island, which continues to play NYC, and all around the Tri-State area.
