Musician Bio

Originally from upstate New York, Craig Magnano became inspired to play guitar after hearing Slash's amazing solos in "November Rain". Soon thereafter, Craig began to study a diverse array of musicians and groups, such as Wes Montgomery, Radiohead, Miles, Coltrane and many others.

Craig enjoys playing many different styles, as well as blending styles, from jazz to rock and everything in between. Craig attended Purchase College, receiving a B.F.A. in jazz performance. Upon completion Craig went on to receive his M.F.A. in jazz performance from the Manhattan School of Music.

Craig has taught many students privately, as well as being an adjunct guitar instructor at Purchase College. In 2005, Craig was one of only 8 guitarists selected from around the world to compete in the Gibson-Montreux Jazz Festival guitar competition. Craig can be heard on the great tenor saxophonist Stacy Dillardﾒs record entitled ﾓOneﾔ on the Smalls record label. Craig also has two self released albums with his group cPhour, which can be found on iTunes and CD Baby. Craig currently plays in some of the biggest shows on Broadway, such as Jersey Boys and Wicked, as well as with many other artists around the world.
