United We Tab, Inc. is committed to changing the way guitarists utilize guitar tablature through the creation of new media and interactive technologies. The company’s dynamic music site, UnitedWeTab.com, allows musicians to interact with and learn from guitar tablature through the combination of guitar videos, viewing software and licensed tab. The company was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in New York, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Author a wide variety of articles distributed on United We Tab’s website intended to create traffic from a guitar-friendly reader base;
• Write press releases for the company;
• Develop and maintain company blog; and
• Work with CEO to develop media strategy for addressing social networking sites.

Time Commitment:

10 hours / week, working in Manhattan (although there is potential to work from home).

Duration:

June 2010 – August 2010.

Compensation:

Unpaid. Well-qualified interns will earn stock options. The company will also pay for music lessons for those interested in learning guitar. If desired and approved by your school, class credits will also be awarded.

United We Tab is looking for responsible, motivated Undergraduate students who have writing / journalism skills, and are interested in creating new online content. You must be able to work in Manhattan and commit at least 10 hours per week. The key requirements for this internship include:

• Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above;
• Strong writing background;
• Basic knowledge of social media sites (e.g., Twitter, Facebook); and
• A strong interest or background in guitars or the music industry.
